Game 8: Mobile Westside 2 - Phenix City American 1Game 8 of the 10-11 year old state tournament proved to be an all out battle. The game remained scoreless going into the 3rd inning. In the top of the 3rd, Slade James hit a double driving in Zac Johnson, putting Phenix City ahead 1-0. Phenix City held Mobile Westside scoreless until the bottom of the 6th. With no outs, Hunter Patterson hit a hard ground ball for a single and later advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch. With 1 out, Jeffrey Griffin came to bat for Mobile Westside. With a 3-2 count, Griffin launches a hard fly for a walk off Home Run for Mobile Westside to force the "if necessary" game between these two fine teams. Both starting pitchers threw complete games as Mobile Westside's Christian Cooper threw 85 pitches and Phenix City American's Dayton Edmonds threw 69 pitches. Phenix City had 5 hits and Mobile Westside had 9 hits. Mobile Westside forced a "winner take all" deciding championship game to be held at 6:00 Thursday night at Cove Park. |

Game 7: Mobile Westside 18 - Huntsville Eastern 10Mobile Westside came out with bats on fire as they had 26 hits in the game. Cooper Christain, Austen Izzio and Justin Hatton led the offensive charge with 4 hits each. Hunter Patterson and Herndon Akridge each added 3 hits. Eric Toth had a home run in the game. Huntsville Eastern had 14 hits led by Ben Coates with 4 hits and Eli Wallace with three. With the loss, Huntsville Eastern was eliminated and Mobile Westside advanced to face Phenix City American in the finals. |

Game 6: Mobile Westside 8 - Jackson 3Mobile Westside had 13 hits in the game, led by Eric toth with three hits. Hunter Patterson, Jeffrey Griffin and Christian Cooper each had two hits. Christian Cooper led Westside with two RBI. Jackson had 14 hits led by Cooper Christian with three hits. Dylan Stewart, Willie Taylor and Nathan Taylor each had two hits. With the win Westside advances to the finals of the losers bracket and Jackson is eliminated.Game 5: Phenix City American 12 - Huntsville Eaastern 7Phenix City had 18 hits in the game, led by Josiah Goodman with 4 hits and two RBI. Evan Baber also added three hits. Slade James had two RBI as well. Huntsville Eastern had 11 hits in the game, led by Eli Wallace with three hits. Peyton Lee, Garrett Cost and James Jinkins each had two hits. James Jinkins had a two run home run and Nathan Buchanan led the team with three RBI. With the win Phenix City advances to the finals undefeated and Huntsville Eastern moves to the finals of the losers bracket to face Mobile Westside. |

Houston Kitterman had two doubles. Colton Madden led the team with two RBI. Mobile Westside had 15 hits, led by Jeffrey Griffin with three hits. Brant Dixon, Justin Hatton, Hunter Patterson and Eric Toth each had two hits. Jeffrey Griffin had three RBI and Hunter Patterson had two RBI. |

Game 2: Phenix City American (5) - Mobile Westside (0) Phenix City had 10 hits. Bryce Wade and Slade James both had two hits, one of Bryce Wade's hits was a double. Josiah Goodman led the team with two RBI. Evan Baber went 5 2/3 innings striking out 11 to get the win. Mobile Westside had three hits with Eric Toth leading the way with two hits. Game 3: Huntsville Eastern (15) - Jackson (5) Jackson had 10 hits, led by Luke Lankford and Nathan Davis with two hits each. John Karr had a three run home run. Huntsville Eastern had 12 hits, led by Peyton Lee and Garrett Cost with two hits each and Nathan Shell had three hits. Peyton Lee had a grand slam home run and a bases loaded triple for 7 RBI. |
