2010 Regional Tournaments Print E-mail

Eastern's 11-12 year old tournament team will be advancing to the Southeast Regional Tournament to represent Alabama in Warner Robins, Georgia.  Alabama is in Pool B with Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.  Game schedule is as follows (all times EST):  Saturday, August 7 vs. North Carolina (Winston-Salem National LL) at 4PM (EASTERN LOST 4-3 TO NC); Sunday, August 8 vs Georgia (Columbus Northern LL) at NOON (EASTERN LOST 8-7 TO GA); Monday, August 9 vs South Carolina (Carolina Forest LL) at 1 PM  (EASTERN Won 10-3).  Eastern finished third in Pool play.  They play in Consolation Game 1 against Tennessee on Tuesday, August 10 (EASTERN BEAT TN 14-0).   You can see the full schedule and follow the results at the following Little League link.  

You can listen to the games live on the internet through the the following link at WRWR in Warner Robins, GA and click on the LISTEN LIVE button on the right side of their home page.  Also, you can watch all regional games, live or replay (except those to be broadcasted on ESPN) for $14.95 at the following link for Youth Sports Live.

Eastern's 9-10 year old tournament team will be advancing to play in the Tournament of State Champions in Ceredo-Kenova, WV at Legendary Mitch Stadium.  You can follow the results at the tournament website at the following link.  You can also watch all games via webcast at the following link.  Eastern plays in three pool play games:  Saturday, 7/31 at 3:00 EST vs South Carolina (EASTERN LOST TO SOUTH CAROLINA 13-8); Sunday, 8/1 at 1:00 EST vs Georgia (EASTERN LOST TO GEORGIA 9-2); and Monday, 8/2 at 11:00 AM EST vs North Carolina (EASTERN LOST TO NORTH CAROLINA 14-1).  Congratulations to the players and parents on such a successful run and bringing home the State Championship!!

You can follow the 9-10 year old team, the 10-11 team and the 11-12 year old team as they play in their state tournaments at the following link or by going to the baseball page and clicking on the tournament link on the left menu.

 The 9-10 year old team won the Alabama state championship and now advances to Ceredo-Kenova, WV to play in the Tournament of State Champions.  More details to follow on how you can follow the team on the tournament website and watch the games live on webcasts.

The 10-11 team lost to Mobile Westside Saturday and lost their second game Monday night.

The 11-12 year old tournament was delayed Sunday due to rain.  Eastern beat Mobile Westside Sunday 17-4, Brewton 14-1 on Tuesday, and Russellville 6-1 on Thursday to remain undefeated.  Easten 11-12s defeated Mobile Westside 7 - 2 to take the Alabama Little League Championship.   

Eastern moves on to the Southeast regional to represent Alabama in Warner Robins, Georgia. Alabama is in pool B with Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.  Game schedule is as follows (all times EDT):  Saturday, August 7, vs. NC at 4 pm ; Sunday, August 8 vs. GA at noon; and Monday, August 9 vs. SC at 1:00 pm.  Semi-finals are Wednesday August 11 on ESPN2 and the championship game is Friday August 13 at 8pm on ESPN.

Congratulations to the 2010 Alabama Little League Champions;  Graham Ashcraft, Luke Beasley, James Buchanan, Jake Christa, Richard Constantine, Whitt Davis, Jack Fulkerson, Cole Prestegard, Colton Schultz, Logan Storey and Daniel Wright.

Congratulations to the Nationals who won the 2010 Cove Park Coach Pitch Tournament championship!! Their team roster included Brady Barnett, Jackson Billings, Tyler Corning, Michael Finley, Joshua Haft, Erik Haft, Joseph Houser, Luke Melkerson, Ryan Morris, Dylan Reed, Mason Schrader and they were coached by Julian Billings.
