Jackson 10, Huntsville Eastern 3; Jackson earned a ticket to the first championship game, scoring 10 runs on 10 hits.  Jerel Foreman, Daniel Smith, and Jacob Sullivan each hit home runs for Jackson.   Braxton Wallace went the maximum number of pitches to earn the win with Jacob Sullivan coming in to close out the game.  Chase Lovell led Huntsville with two hits while Daniel Wright had two RBI.   Jackson will play next on Thursday against the winner of Huntsville Eastern and Mobile Westside.

 

Mobile Westside 5, Roanoke 2; Westside defeated Roanoke in the third elimination game.  Matthew Cook got the win on the mound for Westside with Graham Owens coming into the game in relief to get the save.   Graham Owens and Branson Audette each had home runs.  Audette’s home run impacted the top of a pick-up truck over the fence in left-center field.  Jonathan Markham was also impressive at the plate for Westside, going three for three. Connor Smith had two hits and an RBI for Roanoke.  Mobile Westside moves on to play Huntsville Eastern in an elimination game Wednesday night; the winner will move on to play Jackson on Thursday.
